  • This would depend on the material. If the material is dryclean only, made out of a synthetic fabric, or silk, it may be hard to get these smells out. If you can get the garmet wet, soaking it in a mild detergent like Woolite, or Zoot, can help loosen up the stench. If the garment can tolerate it, I would spray watered down lemon juice on the underarms (I'm assuming this is where the smell is comming from). The mild citric acid can cancel out the smell. If the garment is a dry clean only peice that cannot tolerate moisture, you are most likely out of luck and will have to work with an excellent drycleaner to make any progress.
  • Febreeze is probably the best. But it depends on the nature of the fabric itself.
