  • Oh my! Time to buy some Baby cereal, Pablum or Rice..mix it using the bitches milk I assume you've been using. The first time make it fairly runny..and then a bit thicker in subsequent feedings. Offer it in a fairly flat holder...like a pie pan (glass is good because it is heavy...if there are more than three pups...use two pie pans so everyone gets some) They should be fed this 5 to 7 times the first day...4 to 6 the next 4 days and as they are eating MORE and you cut back in feedings do not go below 3 meals a day till they are about 15 weeks old, then you can leave it at 2 meals a day (for life) or till they are 12 to 14 months old. After about 4 to 5 days start adding some puppy food to the mix as well. By the end of their 7week old mark they should be on moistened puppy food (not soppy wet, but easy to chew. After that you can decide if you want to introduce meats to their diet. Boiled Chicken Livers are inexpensive...also ground chicken or turkey is good. If you want to use rice too...use brown rice. A dab (1 tablespoon between all) of PLAIN canned Pumpkin will help to firm up any loose stools during the transition with foods.
  • Mine started licking up some puppy replacer milk at 3 weeks... I mixed in raw ground beef after 2 days and then for fun when they were 3.5 weeks I added a raw cicken quarter with slices in it so they could get through the skin. I was curious to see if they would just eat around it or atleast test it out... to my surprise they by passed the raw ground beef/milk mixture and went straight for the raw quarter! I say you should start putting stuff down and see what they go for, you might just be surprised
