Mumps is the only one of the three I haven't had.
-
All three. There weren't vaccines for these diseases when I was a little kid. I was home with the mumps, age 9, watching "Let's Make A Deal" on TV when the show was interrupted with the news that JFK had been assassinated. That's my mumps memory.

Just the chicken Pox.

I had chicken pox when I was about 3, measles twice, first time I had German measles, I am not sure which kind I had the second time (maybe red). I have never had the mumps that I remember.

I don't remember having mumps, but I had chicken pox, measles, and German measles. I remember the latter very clearly indeed because that's why I was at home watching the motorcade on TV when JFK got shot.

I was 23 years old and pregnant with my second child. My (then) hubby was going to make brownies, but didn't feel like baking, so we just ate the batter. The next morning I had him call me into work because I didn't feel well, and he said I shouldn't have eaten so much batter (I didn't eat much) because I had broken out all over from it! lol I had chicken pox. He teased me incessently because he had it when he was a kid but not bad....he got it next! lol He told me to tease him as much as I could because he deserved it!

I've only ever had the Chicken Pox. I don't even remember it, really. I was pretty good about not itching it, apparently. Or at least that's what my mother has always praised me for: "She was a great kid! Didn't even scratch her Chicken Pox!" It's my mother's proudest crow, because I was a horrible teenager. I just went downhill, apparently. At least until I made it to college. Now I'm a great kid again.

Yes I had chicken pox ... twice! When I was a kid I had a mild case. Then I got it again when I was 25 and my son came down with it. My doctor said it was very rare but possible to have it twice if the first time was very mild. I was sick as a dog the second time and covered with pox. Even in my ears, throat, and inside my nose. My fever got so high I was almost hospitalized. It was awful!
-
none, lucky me!...However I had pityriasis rosea, which is kinda like chickenpox, but not contagious. That itches!
-
I've had checkenpox once.

Yes,yes, and yes. ( Oh man, I am way old) The chicken pox envolved a lot of itching, which we couldn't scratch cause it would 'scar us for life' literally, I still got one on my forehead. The measles involved dark curtains on the windows, or else I'd go blind. The mumps ( diagnosis; make him eat a SOUR pickle) was my first experience with halucinations. Mom was in the hospital having some sort of 'female surgery,' 'but don't worry, Mommy will be back in a day' HAH! 5 kids get the mumps, while mom's in the hospital, " Uh, can't release you to go home to the mumps," sez the doc. Our aunt comes 400 miles from Yankeeland to tend to us. She brings gifts, Mine is a 12 inch bright red plastic canoe wiff three inians wiff bows an arrows that snap into it. The first afternoon, I'm sleepin', suddenly I can't breath, it's the mumps swellin in my throat, "Ah ha," sez my dream, grab the canoe and use the upturned pointy bow to ream your nose clear, not realizing, as dreams will, that the problem is in my throat. It doesn't work! I spring out of bed and rush into the livingroom, where my harried asunt is tryin' to get some rest. "I'm gonna die!' I shout, there's nothing you can do! I'm Gonna Die!!" Poor Aunt had no children. " You're not gonna die," she says. What does she know about it? Wheres my Mommy? I sat in the chair all day waiting to die. 'I'll show her!' A few days later she went to make a cherry pie, just to cheer us up. She finds a mason jar with tapioca in it to thicken the pie. 'Sumpins wrong with this pie,' she sez. We gobble it up, ailin' as we are. "Tapioca?" asks mom, "I have none in the house. " Jar? That was grits!" "Gritz? What is gritz?" Ever time she visits we make "Grits Pie" and I thank her for not lettin' me die, despite the Plastic Indians and their birchbark, spears and arrows Naso-Pharyngial treatment.
