  • no because if the child reads it it could offend the child
  • So let me get this straight: English.... A Math........B History.....c PS you're kid is fat. Not cool!
  • NO. That is not for the schools to determine but a child's doctor. A school nurse might send home a note about health concerns, but a child should not be rated based on their body structure. That seems a bit overboard to me. If you rate one child who is slightly over weight obese what is to stop them from rating another child who is slightly under weight as anorexic?
  • I don't think the school needs to tell the parents about their child's obesity. We are seeing more and more news segments about overweight children. Parents know if their child/children are obese. If they choose to ignore it, it is sad, but it is their business.
  • That would be humiliating ...no !
  • No. Its not a point of acedemia.
  • No. Parents already know if their child is fat. Usually it's the fat children who also have fat parents, and the parents don't see anything wrong with being fat to begin with. It won't make any difference.
  • I was fat at school and i think i would die of embarrassment if that had happened to me,most fat children get enough stick from the kids without the schools putting their penny worth in.
  • yes, obesity is a real problem in the United States and we need kids to be more active. If the parents wont do it, maybe the schools should.
  • I don't think that's any of their concern. That's a personal issue, not an academic one. Maybe they could take it up with whoever orders those nasty school lunches.
  • NOOO! That is cruel and demeaning! The parents usually already know and they are either trying to do something about it, don't know what to do, or don't care. Stigmatising a child because of their weight is something we don't need!
