if you are cofused about the breed.Wait till the apples come out and take it to any horticulture lab.Other wise call a horticulturist and show him the tree.He can give you the correct idea.

It is very difficult to tell what kind of apple, even for experts, especially with older trees. On our land we have many apples trees, some being over 30-40 years old, some new starts from who knows which trees. We've tried to identify them exactly but other than a "Snow Apple" which is rather unique, we just call them good red, sweetish green, sour green, and such lol!!! I hope yours are newer varieties than the ones on this old farm and forest.

Engineer's answer is good. A lab or even a good nursery should be able to identify the species.

Take a blossom with at least one leaf to a botany prof at your nearest college or university. Or the fruit itself.
