  • if you are cofused about the breed.Wait till the apples come out and take it to any horticulture lab.Other wise call a horticulturist and show him the tree.He can give you the correct idea.

  • It is very difficult to tell what kind of apple, even for experts, especially with older trees. On our land we have many apples trees, some being over 30-40 years old, some new starts from who knows which trees. We've tried to identify them exactly but other than a "Snow Apple" which is rather unique, we just call them good red, sweetish green, sour green, and such lol!!! I hope yours are newer varieties than the ones on this old farm and forest.
  • Engineer's answer is good. A lab or even a good nursery should be able to identify the species.
  • Take a blossom with at least one leaf to a botany prof at your nearest college or university. Or the fruit itself.
