  • The best thing would be to ask the person, as preferences vary so widely. Older patients are less likely to be smart phone aficionados and would perhaps like something that can be used for solitaire - like cards or dominoes. Some like crossword puzzles or simpler "word search" puzzles. Etc. Younger patients might appreciate crayons and coloring books. Some might like novels (of a favorite genre, though detective stories in particular are a genre that is pretty widely liked). Etc.
