I don't see why it is not okay, since there are more than 393 million civilian-owned guns in the US. That's more than enough for every American citizen.

Doing so is an exercise of one's first amendment right - freedom of speech. To be more precise, it is "freedom of expression" - an extension of freedom of speech.
