No. As they are being done on medical grounds, not nationality grounds. 8 other countries are also on the travel ban list.

No. SA is suffering from a epidemic of a new variant of Covid. Travel restrictions are intended to prevent the spread of that variant from arriving in the U.S. and causing yet another huge wave of Covid infections in the U.S. As that variant spreads to other nations (it inevitably will), similar travel restrictions for those nations will be implemented. *** After myself contracting the previous wave of Covid, I'm completely supportive of measures that prevent yet another wave of the disease from rampaging through the U.S. In fact: I wonder if Biden is perhaps not going far enough to prevent it.
