I don't think he was - he never provided a valid birth certificate. Who's to say that Stanley Ann Dunham is his real mother? A fake signature on a phony birth certificate proves nothing. Stanley Ann Dunham has a natural-born daughter who could provide DNA proof of Obama's relationship. I can guess that the DNA would not verify Obama's relationship and that's why it has never been done. The conclusion is that he was not born in the United States, but Kenya. There was a birth certificate from there that was deemed to be fake. But suppose they can fake a birth certificate to favor his agenda in the United States. In that case, it's certainly possible to alter a genuine birth certificate to lead investigators down the wrong road.

Actually, it became a "moot point" when a diversion was suddenly brought in to direct attention somewhere else - the killing of Osama Bin Laden. If she's really Obama's mother, a DNA test would verify it. But Obama has refused that as well. Obama has not proven his birth certificate to be real, nor has his "mother" proven to be his actual mother. Get documented proof that can't be disputed. The "birth certificate" was done in photoshop and is blatant with obvious layering - a real birth certificate wouldn't have this. If his Hawaiian birth certificate is fake, so too can be his "mother's" signature. Where is the DNA test to prove the relationship?

At this point, the matter is entirely moot. I mean: even if we found out tomorrow that Obama was (beyond any shadow of any doubt) born outside the U.S., it wouldn't change ANYthing. *** That being said: the available evidence clearly better supports the claim of U.S. birth than alternate claims. BUT that evidence is by no means conclusive. I have no reason to believe either position until better evidence is produced. The position that he was born in the U.S. appears more likely to be correct at this time.
