ANSWERS: 11
  • Kim Kardashian
  • 1) Brian Bosworth - The Seattle Seahawks paid him 11M whether he played or not. He then proceeded to get hurt in the third season and never played again. He played in 24 games. That's $458,000/game with no great plays. Then he tried to have a movie career based in his Seahawks career. The movies were worse than awful. He's a bum as far as I am concerned. He's a professional car accident . 2) Gig Young - He was a very successful actor when he was young but he became an alcoholic. He killed his new bride in a murder suicide drunken rage. 3) Woody Allen - He had sex with his adopted daughter and then tried to say it wasn't incest. I used to think he was hip but he was just a pervert.
  • Used to like De Niro. Now, I'd just like to punch him in the face.
  • Donald Trump. I suppose he counts as a "celebrity". He certainly wasn't much of a president.

I would have felt much better if the last four years were a movie. We would have had a Supreme Court that isn't corrupt and made sense. Trump got to appoint three.
    • Victorine
I think Trump thought it WAS a movie and he was the star. He really didn't grasp the responsibilities of the presidency and wasn't qualified to assume them. That said, the SC isn't corrupt; it's simply ideologically divided, though not as much as some people think.

@Victorine - I beg to differ. The Supreme Court IS corrupt. Think Citizens United. How do corporations become people?
    • Victorine
I didn't like that decision either, but the SC didn't claim that corporations were "people," merely that the government could not restrict expenditures for political campaigns by corporations. That's not corruption, by the way, merely a matter of interpretation of the law. That is the justices' job, after all -- to interpret the law. Unless you can prove that certain justices were paid off in some way and that this is why they ruled as they did, you are using the word "corrupt" incorrectly and inappropriately.

@ Victorine "Unless you can prove that certain justices were paid off in some way and that this is why they ruled as they did, you are using the word "corrupt" incorrectly and inappropriately." Its very easy to pay someone off. You don't need to show a video tape with bags of money. You can make a donation to a fund that the donee has access to, or his friends or his family. Swiss, Bermudan or Panamanian bank accounts are famous for this. Also mistresses and blackmailers cost money and need third parties to pay them. If I, or anyone could prove, that the SC was taking bribes in exchange for their opinions I'd have to have psychic powers. Not having psychic powers I have to rely on my instincts. Corporations are not people and the SC reversed decades of precedent in doing so. I know a rat when it smell one even if I can't prove it.
    • Victorine
Utterly ridiculous "reasoning". In fact, not reasoning at all. And again, the SC did not claim that corporations were people. You really need to go back to school.

And you my dear need to learn the rules of debate. You have to respond to the points I make. You didn't do that, because you also need to learn to read. I gave you a very good response but you chose to ignore what I wrote. In any case since you need more proof here it is. This is a quote of what the court said "This opinion appears to us to be equally supported by reason, and by the former decisions of this Court." Beginning with this opinion, the U.S. Supreme Court has continuously recognized corporations as having the same rights as natural persons to contract and to enforce contracts." What you, my dear are arguing is a distinction without a difference. lol
    • Beat Covid, Avoid Republicans
Additionally Corporations also have the same rights as people according to the Buckley Decision: "Federal Election Commission (2010): Buckley ruled that political spending is protected by the First Amendment right to free speech, while Citizens United ruled that corporate political spending is protected, holding that corporations have a First Amendment right to free speech because they are "associations of citizens"

"Utterly ridiculous "reasoning". In fact, not reasoning at all." You stated that the Scotus couldn't be bribed. I was giving you situations where that could l happen, like mistresses and black mailers. My answer wasn't clear because AB doesn't allow for paragraph markers.
    • Victorine
I'm unimpressed, dear. I'm a veteran of speech and debate in high school, but these days, I don't bother with debating people whose premises, claims, and arguments are weak. Merely as one example, let me point out that according the corporations the same rights as people is not synonymous with saying they ARE people, though of course they are RUN by people who usually have particular interests and political positions, as we all do. Corporations do not exist exclusively and independently of the people who staff them and sit on their boards. Sweetie, I won't be responding to further posts by you. They are tedious and tiresome.
    • Beat Covid, Avoid Republicans
@Victorine - if corporations have the same rights as people they are people legally. I don't get your point. I don't mean that a Costco store is the same as me or you, just that legally they were granted the same rights as you or me by the SCOTUS> And I used to be in debate too but in college and you need a refresher.
    • Kevin1960
He was a great president. Assuming you weren't the type to always look for a government handout.
    • Chicagoan
It's a shame that Orange Don is a whore-buying, tax-evading, sexual assaulting, pathologically lying, military dodging, White Supremacist POS... Otherwise, he might not have been a bad guy. But, still, a horrible president and an atrocious leader who fired anyone around him that wa smarter and more experienced than he was - which left almost nobody but his own dullard family members with him in the White House.
  • Kanye West. He's gone too far off the deep end

  • Anyone who speaks for the Liberal Marxists is off my list.
    • Beat Covid, Avoid Republicans
Karl Marx wasn't a liberal, he was a revolutionary. There is a difference. Second, he hasn't written a book in almost 200 years. He's off the bestseller list. lol Who in Hollywood advocates or quotes him? Anyone?
    • Army Veteran
I don't recall saying anything about "Karl" Marx. Don't bother trying to run interference against me - it'll never happen.
    • Beat Covid, Avoid Republicans
Three Posts up you said - "Anyone who speaks for the Liberal Marxists is off my list."
    • Army Veteran
Since when was Karl Marx ever a celebrity - except in your world?
    • Beat Covid, Avoid Republicans
Karl Marx wrote the books that started Communism. That makes him a celeb - or at least well known.
    • Army Veteran
Maybe in your world - but not in Tinseltown which, I believe, "celebrities" here is a reference to. And since the question also refers to the present time, Karl Mark, Vladimir Lenin, and Attila the Hun can also be ruled out as "celebrities.
    • Beat Covid, Avoid Republicans
@1465 - The question was Is there a celebrity that you just can't watch? - The question is about celebreties you watch ON TV That means Hollywood. And you answer was "1465 Anyone who speaks for the Liberal Marxists is off my list" The mans actors in Hollywood who a Marxists. You started this line of conversation. Please pay attention.
    • Army Veteran
You mean folks like Kathy Griffin aren't Hollywood celebrities? And since "Hollywood" wasn't specifically mentioned, then the question refers to celebrities in or out of Hollywood. I'm not the one who's asleep here.
    • Beat Covid, Avoid Republicans
@1465 How did Cathy Griffin get in here> she hasn't been on TV in years. lol
    • Army Veteran
"...she hasn't been on TV in years"...guess what? You just acknowledged that she is a celebrity - the only difference between her and Karl Marx being that Karl Marx never made it to Tinseltown.
    • Beat Covid, Avoid Republicans
@1465 this does not compute. this does not computer, this does not compute, this does not compute.....lol
    • Chicagoan
1465's TINFOIL HAT is on too tight again.
  • Samuel L. Jackson is at the top of my list. HidenBiden is second choice. He would be at the top, but his frequent attacks of retardation is good for a giggle, so he is not entirely unwatchable.
    • Victorine
He is so obviously not retarded. And hiding? He's been extremely visible for months. You're not paying attention.
    • Army Veteran
Visible, perhaps. But to the press, "hiding" seems to be the operative word - especially when it comes to difficult questions (which covers just about ALL of them).
    • Beat Covid, Avoid Republicans
@1465 - What do you have against Biden or his son?
    • Franco333
Retarded. Senile. Alzheimers. Parkinsons. Dementia. Whatever. The elevator gets stuck before it reaches his floor. He hid throughout most of the election, and he is still hiding behind the skirts of of his handlers, the MSM, and The Hoe (when she lets him).
    • Beat Covid, Avoid Republicans
@Franco - You offer no proof that Biden has done any of this. I am assuming you are making it up. As to dementia, what do you call someone who tried to buys Greenland or redraws Hurricane Dorian. Which one of us has better proof. lol
    • Franco333
Ohhh did meany ole me pull a trigger? Any who has listened to one of HidenBiden's speeches, press conferences, youtube videos, etc. knows his elevator don't go to the top floor...well, anyone with at least half a working brain!
    • Beat Covid, Avoid Republicans
Biden is 78 years old and he has never tried to buy Greenland. lol
    • Franco333
Considering he goes into nap mode halfway through a sentence, and one out of three sentences he does manage to finish is nonsensical, he doubtless needs his handlers to accompany him to a store just to buy his 'Men's DependĀ®', hence complicated purchases like a car...or Greenland, is way beyond his reach! At least Trump can deliver a speech without lapsing into gibberish, and literate enough to actually read a friggin' teleprompter. Nyuck! Nyuck!
  • Mickey Rourke.
    • Beat Covid, Avoid Republicans
He's a jerk, He has problems. I feel sorry for him that he'd rather box and get beat up than act but I might still watch a movie. He was good in 9.5 Weeks. I loved Kim Basinger.
  • I'm really not a fan of Jim Carrey. I wasn't a fan of Jerry Lewis & I really don't need another one.
  • ALL hip-hop artists! they suck so hard!
  • Tom Cruise. Not one dime of mine will go to any of his work, and thus, ending up with Scientologist whackos - who are just as whacko as Christians.
