Portland hasn't had leadership since Obama was president - and based on how they've responded during the Trump administration and the current administration, their leadership capability should be questioned for the past decade.

I can't get over the fact that they resigned because one of their number was held accountable for his abuse of protesters. There is no other job in the world where you can pull a hissy fit over being held responsible for what you do on the job and not get fired. Why do police officers think they should be able to rough up or kill anyone they want with no consequences whatsoever?

Army Veteran Police officers respond in kind. If the person they're dealing with has no respect for the law, the police officer treats them as the situation requires. The problems usually are the result of resisting arrest - or, as we've seen recently, they're often caused by attacks on police. No police officer takes pleasure in killing someone, contrary to popular Liberal belief. -
pipey So.... they're immature jerks rather than professionals. Can you imagine a doctor, nurse, teacher, or firefighter behaving that way? Don't forget there was a training video going around a while back in which a guy who was training police officers talked enthusiastically about how good sex was after you killed someone and called it one of the perks of the job. -

But clearly, conservative republicans have no problem with the cops and people that were killed in their Trump-led riot on January 6th. Now, the GOP congressional leadership is denigrating the officers who responded that day!! That must make you lowlifes proud..
