  • Probably because most religions are not monotheistic.
  • Well, they are not. They were all invented at different times and places, and the conception of a god or gods they comprise varies widely. They are products of human imaginations, and that being the case, you can't expect them to be about the "same god".
  • They are not all about the same god. Each religion has its own theology, beliefs and doctrines which can contrast (sometimes greatly) with another's. This can also be the case within a single religion, causing a branching out and formation of yet another religious following, group or order. It's quite maddening.
  • It presupposes the Monotheism of the silly Abrahamic-based religions are the truth, the whole truth and nothing but....that there was, is, and will only ever be one god.
