  • Yes and no, it’s good to let kids practice freedom, but it shows them they don’t need to work for it. So instead they should earn money by doing task or chores, but then yet again they won’t get paid in life for doing what their supposed to. It debatable,I’m pretty 50/50.

      Of course. How exactly are they supposed to become financially responsible, and learn how to manage money, if they have none to manage?
  • Only if they pay rent. Actually I think they should have an allowance they work for and use that to buy anything they want above and beyond basic food clothing and shelter. It would help them learn how to manage money when they get older. People get into trouble financially when they buy things they *want* and don't have the money to pay for them.
  • Yes but they need to do chores to earn it.
  • If their chores are done, then yes, they deserve something for it other than a thank you and congratulations.
