  • It depends. This situation isn't going to be black or white for everyone. We should be over the peak by now, thanks to social distancing, but the danger is that lifting social distancing will accelerate the spread once again. But, there are so many cases now that there is no way this thing will ever go away completely, and we can't stay locked inside forever. Every business is an essential business given a long enough time frame. So... it's a balancing act. Stay closed and save lives from the virus or open up and save business that livelihoods depend on? A naive person might think that simply locking everyone inside around the world for two weeks will kill the virus completely, but you can't do that. All it takes is one person out of eight billion to disobey the order and go see their boyfriend or girlfriend or whatever and it'd keep the virus alive.
