  • This article has been floating around since at least 2015, but there is a tremendous amount of waste. The government does try to collect overpayments where it can. For example, it was reported that $40 billion in overpayments were made from 2013 to 2016 to commercially-run Medicare Advantage carriers, mostly by inflating patients' reported conditions. Single-payer, anyone?

      This is from a March 12, 2020 article. https://www.judicialwatch.org/corruption-chronicles/u-s-makes-175-billion-in-payments-that-should-not-have-been-made-in-2019/
  • US government agencies make profits...like all capitalist systems, big whoop. Next, you'll fall out your chair and crack your hip when you learn individual senators also make profits......

The payments that were made were to people who weren't entitled to the benefits they were paid for. In most cases, the government employees didn't do their jobs and follow up on the info or verify it. Can't wait till the DMV runs my healthcare.

He never knows what he's talking about he just runs his mouth with US hate speech. If I get bored one day I'll go back and flag it all as offensive.
