I would love to know what are the best Western states to live in for safety,Living expenses.
I have heard A lot online and everything and everyone describes places areas differently.I would just like a real honest answer on what the top best states are like to live In as I want to travel about and start a new life.

First, what do you mean by western states? Western United States? And if so do you mean anything west of the Mississippi? Or west like mountain time zone? People tell you different things not because they are being dishonest per se, but because we all see things differently. Thank God! It would be a very boring world if everyone was the same. You can research these things online statistically. The western states are on my bucket list. I've been to most of the United States, except the very western ones. What do you mean by safety? Here are crime rates for the U.S.https://www.usnews.com/news/best-states/rankings/crime-and-corrections/public-safety California has the highest tax rates in the country, and a high rate of homelessness, but DC is the worst. You can also research unemployment rates by state and probably average cost of living.

Western States by definition means the Western part of the US. Some people as you see above just want to be rude as if you don't know what you're asking. When it comes safety and living expenses, I would suggest living in Los Angeles, California near Hollywood to avoid the dangers of some of LA's belligerent regions. The traffic is definitely a nightmare, but there are many backroads to take to beat traffic. The city has a strong economy. California has the largest economy in the US. The state itself ranks 5th in the world in comparison to countries worldwide. Los Angeles is actually were the world comes to innovate and turn today's ideas into tomorrow's innovations.

You're welcome! To further share my opinion: I'm not used to extreme hot weather like Arizona, Nevada or New Mexico during summer. Far less dust storms. *Coughs* Utah and Oregon are good states if you get paid well, while I am not sure of Colorado. -

First of all some people consider all of America 'western'! And many still consider anything west of the Mississippi western states! For your information, Alaska is a Northwest state, Hawaii is an island in the Pacific, although the questioner is referring to Western states. There's nothing bad about people's lives in LA. That's what you think, and I think differently, because the city is stopping me from prospering, so think again! Your Google list can go on for ANY other city in the US, just as it is too cold to live in the Northeast states, while Florida that seems like a paradise gets hit with hurricanes repeatedly, the Southern states get pounded in Tornado Alley. I also suggested other states to the questioner. If you are not making it in a certain city/state, there are millions of people in the US who are happy were they live. You want to avoid crime, move where there are no people. You want low cost of living, move near resource caches. Cost of living and crime are both super high in urban parts of California. For example, the city with the lowest cost of living in the State of California is Oxnard, with a median rent of $1970. It is also one of the lowest crime cities in the state. For comparison, the median rent in Fort Wayne, Indiana, is $700. The crime rates of these two communities are nearly identical. My advice, forget about the west coast, if high cost of living and high crime are concerns of yours. Look to the midwest instead.
