  • This can mean many things depending on the situation. It can be taken spiritually to mean preach the gospel to those sheep of his flock that don't know and want to learn. It can be taken literally to mean feed the sheep, or the poor, and it can be taken figuratively to mean supply the needs of your neighbors if you can in whatever way you can. However, be prudent and give them a hand up and not a hand out. Don't help them to the point of enabling them to become dependent on you. As Polonius said: "... it dulls the edge of husbandry"
  • Jesus told Peter to “feed my little sheep” thereby indicating that his apostles would be among the few through whom he would provide spiritual food to the many.
  • "Feed my sheep" means to pasture, furnish and nourish the Christian herd with Scripture. Matthew 4:4 "But He answered, It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that comes from the mouth of God."
  • Feed my sheep simply means to teach His people, Jew and gentile alike, the true love of Jesus Christ.
