I agree but that is Satan's job, he still works within limits put down by God, if he acted under free will there would be another authority besides God, greater than God. Zechariah 3:1-2 Then he showed me Joshua the high priest standing before the angel of the LORD, and Satan standing at his right hand to accuse him. The LORD said to Satan, "The LORD rebuke you, Satan! Indeed, the LORD who has chosen Jerusalem rebuke you! Is this not a brand plucked from the fire?" Satan's' jobs is a tempter, an accuser, the one that stands and says to God "this man is not worthy," or "how can you say he is worthy when he has everything, take away all he has and see if he still worships you." Job 2:1-6 Again there was a day when the sons of God came to present themselves before the LORD, and Satan also came among them to present himself before the LORD. The LORD said to Satan, "Where have you come from?" Then Satan answered the LORD and said, "From roaming about on the earth and walking around on it." The LORD said to Satan, "Have you considered My servant Job? For there is no one like him on the earth, a blameless and upright man fearing God and turning away from evil. And he still holds fast his integrity, although you incited Me against him to ruin him without cause.". Satan answered the LORD and said, "Skin for skin! Yes, all that a man has he will give for his life. "However, put forth Your hand now, and touch his bone and his flesh; he will curse You to Your face." So the LORD said to Satan, "Behold, he is in your power, only spare his life." Rev 12:10 Then I heard a loud voice in heaven, saying, "Now the salvation, and the power, and the kingdom of our God and the authority of His Christ have come, for the accuser of our brethren has been thrown down, he who accuses them before our God day and night. Matthew 4:3 And the tempter came and said to Him, "If You are the Son of God, command that these stones become bread." In Genesis he doesn't force Eve to eat the fruit, he is crafty, "come on you shall not surely die, you shall be like God." We are tempted by things like this all the time, that feed our pride, greed, envy, jealousy, lust, gluttony etc, we don't have to act but we choose them,we are tempted. Now the serpent was more crafty than any beast of the field which the LORD God had made. And he said to the woman, "Indeed, has God said, 'You shall not eat from any tree of the garden'?" The woman said to the serpent, "From the fruit of the trees of the garden we may eat; but from the fruit of the tree which is in the middle of the garden, God has said, 'You shall not eat from it or touch it, or you will die.'" The serpent said to the woman, "You surely will not die! He is everything that opposes God and promotes self idolatry, but he cannot force that's not his job, the choice is ours we either take a step towards God and perfection or away from. The bible even described our conscience as being the same Hebrews 10:22 let us draw near with a sincere heart in full assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled clean from an evil conscience and our bodies washed with pure water. 2 Corinthians 1:12 For our proud confidence is this: the testimony of our conscience, that in holiness and godly sincerity, not in fleshly wisdom but in the grace of God, we have conducted ourselves in the world, and especially toward you. Romans 2: 14-15 For when Gentiles who do not have the Law do instinctively the things of the Law, these, not having the Law, are a law to themselves, in that they show the work of the Law written in their hearts, their conscience bearing witness and their thoughts alternately accusing or else defending them, 1 Tim 1:19 keeping faith and a good conscience, which some have rejected and suffered shipwreck in regard to their faith.

Interesting insight. Keep seeking the truth!
  • 1 John 5:19 tells us that this world is lying in the power of the wicked one. Satan has power, as a spirit creature, but he doesn’t have authority. Some choose to allow Satan to influence them and they see him as an authority figure, but someone with authority cannot ever be removed from their position. Psalm 37:10 assures is that satan will be destroyed.
