      Companies make one employee do the work of three to save money. I don't think they'd pay for employee nap times. It might actually help productivity if they did.

      There are a few tech companies around that encourage breaks and naps. You're right ... they do claim to be getting better performance & production from their employees because of lowered stress.

      I'd be happy to clock out for a nap, though I'm not sure I could get restful at work. Maybe someone should invent a nap station - kinda like the opposite of a gym. Run with it kids. I only need 10% of gross for coming up with the idea. ;-)

      The Japanese have beat you to it. They provide private little sleeping compartments that are soundproof.
  • One of the many rewards of subbing preschoolers! Of course the teachers didn't get naps just the kids. But still time needed to do the paperwork! It was nice to be needed!

      And yes, I think everyone should get a nap I think it increases productivity. And keeps people from getting grumpy.
