Sad or funny that it's true? (or it could be)
    • Anoname
Sad because I've done homeless ministry. Never got THAT response but that it is possible is scary. .........OH, and funny that this is just a joke after all.

I'd go with scary that it's possible. And a sad state of affairs.
  • I was not expecting the punch line. Lol! :)

Is it sad or funny that it's true? (or it could be)

Could be true but is sadly true in many cases. But the joke is funny.
  • There were several women in the homeless shelter I was in who had just been released from prison. There were also some respectable members of society who had worked hard all their lives to help their husbands build careers and businesses who were then kicked to the curb with nothing because they sacrificed their education and careers to take care of their families. Many of the homeless women had jobs. A few were veterans. In fact one shelter I was in only had veterans and most of them were in a rehab program. Some you'd never guess were homeless and some of them were addicts and many are mentally ill. But the children... I weep for all those homeless children! It makes me want to go crochet some more hats, blankets, booties, slippers, scarves, purses, hairbows, scrunchies and toys for them.
  • Didn't see that one coming . . .
  • Thats a snide and condescending attitude toward the homeless.
