Why would you assume that? I haven't been drug tested that I've been made aware since getting out of the Navy about half a life ago! They still take my blood and urine at the VA hospital, but haven't said if they test for drugs. I suspect they may check to see if I'm taking my meds. I could technically get kicked out of subsidized housing, but they have helped other tenants with some serious addictions get help, so I would imagine that would be a first step, but there are no guarantees. That's why my emergency kit contains a solar camp shower and inflatable mattress!
