  • That's a no-brainer .... go to the bar and watch whatever is on the big screen.
    • Anoname
      Poverty prevents that.

My apologies - I didn't realize. In that case .... run an extension cord to your neighbors house and plug into the outdoor socket .. like I do.
    • Anoname
My friend actually does that. His neighbor is cool about it.

      Another AB duplicate post.
  • Dang man! That sucks! I would crochet. You might want to read a book. Playing cards is also an option. Do you have tools? You could build something. Take a walk. Write your life story. Spring cleaning?

have you checked out the questions at the bottom of the page? Do you have gas or electric for cooking and heating? When will this be back on?
    • Anoname
No electric lights for reading or wrighting. Playing cards alone isn't for me. Cleaning in the dark could be dangerous. My electric tools don't work so good without power. Taking a walk is possible but hardly entertaining.
    • Linda Joy
You don't have a backup light source!?!? Not even a flashlight for your vehicle? I'm stunned! Has your power never gone off before in your entire life that you would not prepare for something like this?
    • Anoname
Candle light is not good for your eyes when reading and wrighting. Flashlight batteries only lasts a few hours. Ever try cleaning by candle light? And no I've never had power go out on me before in my entire life. You believe that - right?
    • Linda Joy
Well if you're going be particular about candlelight and flashlight usage perhaps you should get yourself a lantern especially if you plan to be without power again. And yes, I've managed to survive without power and running water on occasion. In fact when I lived in Calera they used to turn the water off for repair so frequently and without notice I made sure to keep a couple gallons on hand. You can get a clip on visor flashlight at Walmart for a dollar and it already has the batteries in it.

You could also go to the library, use their computer, read there!

Or go to Toys R Us and play with display games.

Good suggestions if I wanted to leave the house.
    • Linda Joy
Well now you're just being ridiculous.

I said they were good suggestions...............................if.....
    • Linda Joy
      You're right I'm sorry.
    • Anoname
No - it's too late. My feelings are hurt now. I just need a moment alone. (to cry.)
    • Linda Joy
I really am sorry! I was upset about something else and shouldn't have snapped at you. I'd offer a hug, but it's not July 3rd yet and you said you want to be alone and I really don't want to disrespect your boundaries. Lol
    • Anoname
I said two hugs per day. So far I've been getting zero per day. It doesn't need to start on the double naught spy convention date.
    • Linda Joy
Because I already gave you a hundred
