Would seem their positions and conditions of success are so precarious that they constantly seek the opinion of their audiences to try and further their careers. And don't forget that their lifestyles are hardly those of you and I and because of the publicity they get they also develop and inflated sense of their own worth. But they are subject to social pressures no less than the rest of us. I would say they don't really think things through or want to because so many of them are so into themselves that they just go for the easiest and least troublesome way out in dealing with anything outside of themselves and their realm.
