  • I think playing football(soccer) is the most difficult for one needs stamina, and be able to control a small ball only with the feet, and sometimes other parts of the body.It is extremely difficult to score a goal and the chances of getting hurt is more than is other sports.
  • Maybe Jai-Alai. It requires amazing physical skills. Also floor gymnastics.
  • I'll go for Cricket, the fact that Batsmen are expected to face a rock hard Cricket ball, being bowled at them (and I mean at them!) at up to 95mph for hours on end. It takes an amazing amount of concentration and skill to score, and not end up out or in hospital!. Bowlers run in for long periods and are expected to bowl accurately and also field. Fielders have to stop or catch a cricket ball without the aid of a glove, even if they have been baking in the hot sun all day. Skill and stamina!.
  • I'll go with Decathlon as being the one that requires from its competitors different types of skill to really excel in it: Speed, endurance, strenght, flexibility. etc.
  • Gymnastics - no way is anything tougher than that - or that requires more skill
  • Show jumping (horses) it takes years of learning the basics and can never be mastered, plus your relying and working with an animal where communication is all through feel. Imagine working with a partner you couldn't speak to (except maybe 5 commands) and could never speak to you. Most communication is through your legs, and they're always hungry. Before you can touch on real skill you need to develop muscle tone that dissapears entirely if you can't ride for a few weeks. A slight accidental nudge on the side of your partner or slip of the hand and you've just told them to do something completely different. Through all this your expected to go at high speeds over and around jumps often up to your horses back. what a rush
  • archery. Bullseye!
  • Probably gymnastics- the physical requirements alone are immense. As far as competitive sports go I would have to say tennis.
  • I think Biathlon requires very different skills and awesome body control with great endurance and strength. To be strong enough to cross country ski around for miles with your heart racing and then slow down, stop and shoot at a target. Then go back to racing again.
  • Swimming. Because it's a total workout and really needs coordination.
  • Hurling is probably the most skillful sport in the world. It is the fastest field game in the world. It requires the skills such as controlling a small hard ball on a hurling stick while running with the ball and the ability to hit the ball far and accurately with the stick. There are a wide range of other skills involved i have included a clip displaying some of the basics. It has a great element of danger from being hit by ball or with the Hurley and is a physical sport in which you are allowed to jostle opponent with your shoulder.
  • Formula 1. There are many many things driver has to be concentrated on, every turn of steering wheel, everytime he brakes, everytime he accelerates, and so on and so on. It's just driving on the limit all the time, trying not to spin or crash.
  • Football/soccer
  • Competition target shooting. :-)
  • i dunno but soccer and lax players have the best bodies
  • basketball b/c there are so many rules that you can break while playing.
  • American football. Or maybe golf.
  • Extreme Bocce
  • Baseball, you ever try hitting a 95 mph fastball.
  • Field Hockey.
  • Baseball and golf are the toughest. In baseball, everything is a split second reaction, most of the time quicker than you can blink an eye. Golf is between you and the ball, and you have to control where it goes by the way you hit it.
  • Base Jumping. Cause you don't get a do over when you are splatted on the ground.
  • Overall, I would say professional ice hockey. Hockey requires significant strength, stamina, the ability to endure physical pain (from taking hits), finesse involved in skating and handling the puck well, and accuracy involved in shooting.
  • Chess, is recognized by the olympic committee as a sport→ http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chess
  • hmmm.... how to measure skill.... i guess my choice would go with fencing due to immense amounts of speed and dexterity required.
  • Fishing is the only sport where you can not see your objective. Golf may have the greatest variable conditions which may indicate great skill to be able to react to.
  • I think is between Polo, Hockey, and MMA... in that order probably.
  • Wrestling.
  • Baseball...no other sport requires someone to hit a ball traveling 85-95 MPH with a round object...
  • figure skating,or gymnastics
  • I would consider "Surfing" in the sea requires much skill.
  • American football. You have to be big, fast, and nimble footed all at the same time. +5
  • The ones that get paid the most. In individual sports golf, tennis, and racing require a great amount of skill as do team sports like hockey, football, baseball, and basketball. One could argue how much skill it takes to play any of these but one thing is for sure when you play a contact sport like hockey or football the consequences of not being skilled could get yor neck broke. So I would have to say one of them.
  • As a former pole-vaulter, I'm biased to say "pole-vaulting." :-).
  • The hamburgler (that has lived that way for many years) and never been caught.
