Eww...you could try, but it would taste similiar to leather. Don't try to eat the pit in the middle either.
-
No, you can't digest it.
-
Personally, yes I do. I never knew it wasn't supposed to be eaten, so my whole life I ate it until somebody pointed out I wasn't supposed to; I've carried on because I quite enjoy it. I also eat the wax on cheese...in fact it's usually better if I'm not left alone while eating!
-
Nope and I don't eat the skin of bananas either.
-
Nope I have not.
-
I have.

Not on real mangoes, no. Eww. I have biten through it to pull the skin back when I have not had a knife with me. It tasted bitter. That said, in some areas of the midwestern U.S. certain groups call green peppers (bell peppers) 'Mangoes'. So, on THAT, yes, I eat the skin.

Though not nearly as poisonous, the mango is related to poison ivy, believe it or not--also to the East India Ink Tree, though I don't expect that you would come into contact with that. It's the resin on the outside skin of the mango, mostly near the stem, that some people are allergic to.

The skin has a wonderful texture that's full of fiber, I've grown up to eat the skin-it helps with diarhea.. ;)
-
I have, but I don't particularly like it. I love the inside though so I don't see why I should spoil the taste.
-
No. I'd rather not ingest pesticides. But do they use pesticides on mangoes?
