I have a nerve disorder in which I constantly rock back & forth, I've been offered meds, but declined. Have I made the right decision?

Why did you decline the medications? Were you concerned about side effects? How bad is the rocking? Is it enough to cause disturbance and/or embarrassment to you? If the rocking is enough to bother you or other people, I would probably opt for the medications, provided there were not major side effects. Even if there are side effects, many times they will decline or disappear over time. A good example, is the anti-depressant Paxil. Many people who are prescribed Paxil will stop taking it after a short period of time due to a fairly common side effect of nausea and light-headedness. However, those symptoms almost always disappear within a three to four week window.
