  • YES!! So much for Border Patrol
  • No. I don't think the guy who owns this farm wants to do all the dirty work, so he makes this man from Mexico do it... I don't think he pays him enough, either.
  • Unfortunatley yes. This part is major because the city in where I live in is actually linked to Mexico by a bridge system. Many parts of the Rio Grande are dried up, making immigrants easier to come into the US.
  • Texas, yes, big problem. Tax reminder: Don't forget to pay your taxes.... 21 million illegal aliens are depending on you! Muchos gracias!
  • Yes. I live in California. Work in Downtown Los Angeles. This is where all the marches and protests happen. Also, the areas surrounding downtown are where alot of illegals come initially, where the coyotes deliver them for payment to their families and contacts. Lots of crime, homeless, housing shortages, etc. I'm learning Spanish without trying.
  • Of course. Half of NJ is illegal immigrants heh. Hust a few weeks ago the people who run my nail salon got deported. I was devastated.
  • Eh nope. Not too many people sneaking into America where I live, the Delmarva Peninsula. That's eastern Maryland. We're pretty far away from any other countries. We may have gotten a stray Cuban once or twice, but other than that everyone is pretty legal here.
  • TO be perfectly drole, I live in NYC!
  • Yes we are havin problems in the UK with illegal immigrants they come over from France by hiding in lorries and coming over in boats, the city were i live is a port city and we have had loads coming over from Holland again hiding in lorries.
  • Here in Central Florida we've got a huge population of illegal immigrants. We also have a significant Puerto Rican population, so it makes it easier to go undetected.
  • heres a map from 1847 note that every thing to the left of the yellow line WAS MEXICO that includes most of the pacific south west so you tell me now who illegally immigrated...

  • No, not to a large degree, but it is a concern (Canada).
  • No. I think the skinheads the government recruits to patrol our shores kill them on sight.
  • In the UK??? i think we have the lamest procedures here, i was watching the aussie 'anything to declare' programme and they seem to have it sussed over there so i dont understand why our system is so crap! and yes its a MASSIVE problem here.
  • No, my maid does a wonderful job, though my gardener did show up 5 minutes late yesterday. Really it was no problem at all.
  • Yes. My step family is struggling with that right now. They want to go some where up north so they can get a job but they are not citizens of the U.S. If there wasn't a checkpoint, they would be working right now.

  • Utah. Yes. Huge. Mostly are people working at fast food chains (big ones), janitorial and construction sites. Somewhere around 385,000 out of a 2,000,000 population and growing. Most people have no idea of the long-term impact of having thousands of illegals in the state due to misunderstanding about legal and ILLEGAL immigration as well as misunderstanding about diversity and invasion. Most people don't know that true immigration means people coming from various countries not just one. People get confused about what immigration really is. As you know, our society doesn't have the brightest bulbs nowadays so things get really messed up. Millions of Americans couldn't tell you what the Capital of Mexico is. Try it. Few people even know the answer. The cost to school the children of illegals in the State of Utah, for example, is around $85,000,000 per year and over $1 Billion in California. In the meantime, school teachers are the lowest paid in the nation! Priorities are messed up. Most people opposing immigration law enforcement use the 'race card' as a deterrent to having mass deportations. Since most people are afraid of being labeled as racists when trying to discuss immigration issues, they feel powerless in confronting the illegal immigration head-on and basically are just forced to put up with it or shut up. Illegals and those who lobby for them are quick to bring up 'racism' and lack of 'humanity' as reasons for NOT allowing current laws to be enforced. In fact, even the laws themselves become subject of ridicule. This action plan has worked well, creating a division among lawmakers. Illegal immigration is a simple issue which has been dramatically blown out of proportions. If the country really wanted to control or prevent illegal entrances, it would have created a central agency to verify employment documentation for employers, closed the open borders, created better IDs for citizens and legal residents, prevented the transfer of non taxable earnings to Mexico resulting from illegal labor activities, prohibited the purchase of real estate without proper and verifiable identification, reported all false social security numbers to law enforcement agencies and made provisions for "en masse" deportation of illegal aliens in the U.S. which is not only practial but totally feasible if the borders were secured at the same time. Illegal immigration has a lot more to do with "profits" than ethics. As long as companies are making huge profits by hiring illegal aliens, it would be hard to enforce current laws. The weight of the word "illegal" is less than the weight of the word "revenue" Fix that and the illegal immigration problem can be controlled or eliminated altogether. There are no real justifications for invading a country to work, a better life, better education, etc. Invasion is just that, invasion, regardless of how it is rationalized, disguised or ignored. Every time the laws are enforced, inevitably, families are broken apart the same way families are broken apart when citizens break the law. There is NO difference, except that, when it involves illegal aliens, the breakup of the family becomes a national melodrama to make people look cruel. Statistics: http://www.videodaily.info/illegal-immigrants http://www.immigrationwatchdog.com http://searchwarp.com/swa61485.htm On the other hand, illegal immigrants aren't all to blame. They're indirectly invited to come here for menial jobs that were done by Americans for decades. Nothing really happens to them when they work illegally, roam about in freedom like everyone else as if the U.S. were their own country so fleeing poverty and wanting a better life for their children, speaking their own language, aggregating with their own culture and enjoying all the privileges and amenities primarily reserved for legal residents and citizens becomes very attractive to them. Is it any wonder that there are over 20 Million in the country and growing? If you leave your garage door open, you can't complain later that someone stole your car or your wallet that you left in it. At the current rate, the U.S. will simply continue to allow Mexico's poor to monopolize immigration and tax payers will continue to front the money to support everything that's associated with illegal immigration costs. But wait! Illegals pay taxes too! That's right. Another thing that shouldn't be allowed and because it is, it gives illegals a sense of "entitlement" and justifies their presence in the country without the official right of being here. Furthermore, there is the claim that this land is theirs anyway. It must be England's as well by that logic! Just the term "illegal" is something to ponder about.
  • Yep. :o(
  • It is here in Virginia...but not as bad as other places in the US!
  • Upstate NY is not an area with an immigrant problem now. That happen 200 years ago lol!! But really, this area has more a problem of people wanting to get out of here and go where tax es are lower and there are jobs available. There aren't even the kinds of jobs where immigrants, legal or illegal, could find work.
  • No. Few people want to come to Ohio.
  • yes here in branson mo we are over run but imigrants of all kinds taken the jobs our goverment pays the rent and they pay no taxes , and some has a baby every 10 months for us to pay for
  • Not really, unless they got lost on the way to Spain! :D
  • Not any more. We just burn em out at night. Word gets around pretty fast!
  • How's illegal immigration "a problem where you live"? Illegal immigration only becomes a "problem" when the illegal immigrant turns out to be a scumbag; Statistically, most illegal immigrants are honest, hard-working, God-fearing people; how can these kind of people be a "problem"?
  • Theres no such thing as a Illegal immigrant. Its just a term to describe people who roam gods earth but refuse to pay taxes to the gov't. Maybe us citizens could grow a pair and stop paying so many taxes.
  • Immigration of any kind, legal or not, is becoming a problem here. I am the only Caucasian at my job basically, and often the only one on the bus, and nearly the only one on the street in many cases here in Bayside-Flushing-Whitestone, NY. When I left New York 15 years ago, it was maybe 60/40 in favor of immigrants. I can't imagine where they're gonna fit another Korean, or Chinese, or Mexican immigrant over there.
  • I live in Arizona, yes it is a big problem!
  • Yes, Indiana is #5 when it comes to illegal immigrants in the USA.

  • Yes s cali
  • yeah it is a problem.
  • In a very Big way.
  • No it isn't a problem here. If we could get some illegals to come here it would probably improve the place.
  • so I guess we have to accept the influx of milions of immigrants whilst we are paying our taxes for welfare foodstamps and transportation and road and school use for them right? and accept that? go back to your country and fix your own country instead of crawling over here and making babies.. Its disgusting the crowdding around here. the quality of life has gone way down due to overcrowding and the budget deficit. Maybe if tax laws wereenforced then these peopel would think twice about coming here.
  • In the UK we have an enormous problem with illegal immigrants. They come from all over the world and usually make their way to the French channel ports. From there they hide themselves in trucks that are coming to the UK.If they are undetected they slip away and get jobs in the black economy. The ones who are found immediately claim that they are being persecuted in their own countries and claim political assylum. The ones who lose their assylum appeals immediatley claim we are infringing their human rights.Unfortunately our government is not strong enough or lacks the will to legislate against them. They come here because we pay them a good rate of social security and house them at the tax payers expense.
  • Yes. A suburb of Nashville, Madison, Tn., has been taken over by illegal immigrants. Mexican restaurants, convenience stores and gift shops all bear Spanish names. beer bottles and trash lay on the streets, where they never did before. The crime rate has doubled and drunk driving arrests have doubled.
