Yes unless its for a neigbour when I just deliver it.
-
Yes I do. Once, a woman left a rather lengthy phone message on my answering machine. Yes, I listened to it... but I called her back and corrected her mistake.
-
I give it to the mailperson at the next delivery.
-
Yes, unless it is clearly junk mail, in which case I throw it out.
-
Yes, I do. I write "not at this address" on the envelope and drop it at the nearest box. If after a time, I keep getting mail from the same sender, I bin it. After all, if they can't be bothered changing their records, they deserve it.

I talked to the postmaster about this. He told me if it was not first class mail to toss it out, but the rest I return.
-
Actully I have a PO Box for business mail. I get bad mail in there all the time....and the Post Office apologises and it happens again next week....
-
That's happened before and I have absolutely no problem going to my neighbour's house without opening it and giving it to them if it's meant for my neighbour.
-
I return it to the sender. Here the post office does it for free if we write 'redirected to....' and drop it in a post office box.
-
I got tired of telling the postmaster, now I just drop it back in the mailbox... they can sort it out!
-
I write "Not Here" or "Not at this address" on it and put it back in the mailbox.
-
I re-submit it in the mail marked, "REDELIVER TO THE CORRECT ADDRESS!" ! Even if it's magazines!
-
It depends. I still get occasional mail sent to a woman who hasn't lived with me for three years. I have some pre-printed address labels at work with her new address, and I just stick one of those on and forward to her if it's first class mail. I also get mail addressed to people who lived here before I bought the house (seven years ago!), and that generally goes back in the Out box, clearly marked "No longer at this address." I don't get much of my neighbors' mail here; the local delivery guy seems pretty sharp that way.

I'm a bad bad person....I open it

If it's convenient, when I was college and boarding school, all you had to was give it back to the clerk.
