When I was young we had a horse that was injured. We lived in a Swedish style farmhouse. Hard to explain but they just add room after room on those and they become very long houses. My dad put down tarps and then covered the very back bedroom floor with straw and brought the horse in because it was winter and it needed a lot of care and a warm place. I remember the vet being very amused that there was a horse in the bedroom. She stayed there for almost a week until she was well enough to go back out.

Well, we often had a pack of Newfoundlands, biggest was about 165-175 lbs. But we also brought in a pony into the living room and I'd guess he was about 400-500 pounds. I did get a horse all the way up a friend's stairs and part way into her kitchen when I was a kid. That horse was about 1,000 lbs.

Well, I had a brother-in-law who bore a remarkable resemblance to an enraged bull elephant. Does that count? : )
