The Blob. As shown in the 1972 sequel "Beware! The Blob" to the original movie "The Blob". In the original movie, the Blob was finally defeated by freezing it, and afterwards it was transported to Antarctica. In the sequel, a scientist brings back a small sample in a thermos, which pops open unattended, of course, and thaws the Blob. These are CLASSIC movies! http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Blob http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Beware!_The_Blob <EDIT> I said "Antarctic". I could have sworn this was the place, but the sites I reviewed said "Arctic". For the movie lovers out there! :):):)
