I only use olive oil when sauteing or making salads. If I'm frying or baking, it's good soy or peanut oil all the way. I'm lucky because I'm sensitive to corn and corn byproducts, so most mass-manufactured foods I have to stay away from.

It depends what I am making. Olive adds great taste but burns easily at low temps. You can mix them so you get the flavor but it won't burn. I also use veggie oil.

Depends. Some things, like fried plantains, chicken, and corn stuff (fritters, cornbread) taste better with corn oil. But I like hash browns with olive oil, for instance.

Cooking with olive oil destroys its value. I only use it for salads and such. Corn oil is good for cooking. And rapeseed [canola] is not something I would want in my body.

It depends on what I'm making. Olive oil has a strong taste and you need to acquire a liking for it. I often use "extra light olive oil" as it has the lightest flavor. Corn oil doesn't add much flavor to a food, which is why it is popular. Other oils can add different flavors, such as peanut oil.
