I have no hesitation about helping out a friend, but I do insist that the loan be IN WRITING, so I have something to take into a courtroom, IF I have to do that. +5
-
Only if it's their pay day soon.
-
You do not lend money to friends or family. You give it away or refer them to a banker.
-
I only lend money I can afford to not get back. It's not exactly a "gift" but if they can't pay me back I don't want it to hurt our relationship.
-
After lending my mother a super big amount of money which 4 years after the fact I still have not gotten back I will no longer lend anyone any money.
-
Just gift it to them, it'll save all concerned a lot of aggravation.
-
I dont lend money, I give it to them, if they pay me back, awesome, if they dont no big deal.
-
Its just money you can always make more:) Pssshhhh...better pay me back Beyotch:):)
-
If you lend it to them and want to stay on good terms; don't expect it back. My best advice is don't!
-
If family and friends wish to lend each other money thats fine :D
-
NEVER! If you can't give it as a gift then i wouldn't give it! And would not expect a gift back! My beliefs Polly!
-
In my life lending to friends and family is different. Friends I will lend they need help and I can afford it at the time with a stipulation of when it will be paid back. With close family If I get it back it was a loan. If I don't get it back it was a gift :)
-
If you lend it to them, better think of it as a donation since it probably is not coming back.
-
They'd pay me back or I kill everyone of them! [:-))
-
Decide whether or not to lend them the money. Then if you lend it .... forget it!
-
My vote for [spicy hot. . . . . And sweet]
-
if i can afford it and its for a genuine reason (like need 2 replace brakes on a car) if i can afford to help them i will but if its something unnessasary like shoes or new clothing then id tell them no. i wouldnt ask 4 it back untill either i was desprete and low on money myself and needed it or i know they have sorted things out and is able pay back whats owed. my partner lost his job and we have been struggleing 4 money 2 of my friends offered 2 lend me some money which i turned down scared i wouldnt b able2 pay it back for ages- to long
-
I'll lend it to you depending on how much. Some amounts I consider too much to loose. I certainily want to be paid back, however I don't lend it if I can't do without it if it's not paid back to me.
-
I never lend friends or family money. If they need it & I've got it I just give it to them, if they want to pay it back someday thats fine.
-
I don't lend money to anyone as it can cause a lot of problems when it comes to getting it paid back. If I do give money it is a gift and that is the end of it.
-
I so wanted to ask this question, you beat me to it. I dont loan money i give it to family and friends not really expecting anything back,if im paid back its a bonus :)
-
"Neither a borrower nor a lender be!" <family OR frieds>
-
If I have it, it's theirs. I trust my friends and family to the max.
-
As with anything, caution is advised. Whether they are friends or family or not, first they are human. So it all depends on the people involved.
-
Tell them they can decide if it's a gift or a loan, but if it's a gift it's a one-shot.
-
it doesn't affect anything it's money intended to help out during hard times means you care
-
I only loan what I can afford to lose if it isn't paid back and usually when I help someone out I don't really expect to get paid back. If it happens great if not no biggie.
-
When you loan it. . . . .assume you're NEVER going to get it back. 'Cause chances are EXTREMELY good. . . .you WON'T!
-
I lent £400 to my bother once and never got it back. I no longer help people financially as a result.
