Yikes! Evidently not. I wonder how common such accidents are. I would think someone would need training in handling hazardous materials to handle that stuff. There seems to be a problem with the Telegraph article. The headline states that it was Heston Blumenthal (who uses the technique regularly) who blew off his hands. To the best of my knowledge Blumenthal is in his 40s, not 24 as the article states. . .and is alive, well and working on an October charity event to address hunger.
