Yes. Smoking is bad for you and other inmates who don't smoke can't get away from it.
-
I wish they would, I work there and its annoying as hell.
-
They will find a way to sneak them in:)
-
No, I think they use them to control the prisoners (giving or taking away smoke breaks).
-
I thought they had. I know our city and county jails don't allow smoking. Prisons should ban smoking. How can inmates afford to smoke ?
-
no!... they have almost everything else taken away from them... and many are in goal(jail) for non violent crimes ... why not go the whole hog and keep them locked up for 24 hours a day instead of the 23 hours they are already locked in their cells and only feed them bloody bread and water
-
eh point of prison is to get you away from the outside world so you cant do harm, no point stoppin them smoking.
-
Yes, I do. Why? Because!
-
Some prisons / states like Ohio have already banned smoking .... Even though the prisionsers there are in there to be punished ; there is NO reason they should be subjected to 2nd hand smoke which is MORE harmful than the regular first hand tobacco smoke from cigaretts. So; I agree that smoking needs to be banned in all prisons ...
-
Yes.
-
it is banned in connecticut
-
you bet. we don't need the tax revenue or anything. Besides, the longer these prisoners live, the more we all get to spend feeding and housing them. Yes, this sounds like another great liberal idea.
-
I don't condone smoking, but I don't think they should. Imagine being around a huge, angry convict who hasn't had his cigarettes!
-
It would cut off a major source of revenue.
-
Not for those on death row.
-
i really think they should after all we need punishment so that people are either more careful when they get out or they really change their ways because they never want to go back in.
-
No. I think it would increase prison violence as prisoners go through the withdrawal.
-
If it is banned in all other Government buildings . Yes I think it would make things more difficult for the officers but why should prisoners circumvent the law.
