ANSWERS: 4
  • I've went more than a day without anything to drink
  • Two possibilities: 1. "Homer" is a camel. HUMANS cannot go for more than a week without drinking, but camels can go longer. If this is your answer, you left out the important words " any human" in your riddle question, which should replace "anyone." 2. It rained half-way through the trip. Recall that deserts are defined as areas that get LITTLE rain. It is extremely rare for a desert to get no rain at all in the course of a year. Homer collected the rain with what he had, drank it that day, and could finish the trip.
  • Homer can be a animal or he must have found some water from the plants to drink or it must had rained!
  • 1) "Anyone" applies in this sentence to humans. If Homer is not a human, you don't have necessarily this limitation. Homer could be for instance some animal, like a camel, or an insect, or a robot. 2) Even if we assume that Homer is a human, Homer could get some water without *finding* or *bringing* any. If it rains, we will normally not use the word "finding water". Or, Homer traveled with Helena, who was the one bringing along the water (Helena could have been his girlfriend, or his camel). 3) The polar regions are also considered to be deserts. And what you find here, you normally don't call it water, rather snow or ice. But you can *melt* it to water. 4) Maybe he would have been drinking or bringing something that would have replaced water, like tea or lemonade or milk (from the camel).
