  • NO Why would you want to put tattoo artist at risk like that! LOL Really no it has a bad stigma. Remember the Nazi's made Jews wear the star of david. same concept.
  • xjimmyloudx - i am surprised to see you ask a question like this! are you asking it just to be inflammatory?
  • I don't like that at all. But I can see the risk that you are referring too.
  • then perhaps we could mark people with lower than average iq's too........then people who smoke, we could all be just walking billboards-pity the poor baby that got hiv from mom-oh well tough luck
  • Absolutely not. What a terrible, discriminatory idea! If one chooses to have sex, one should protect THEMSELVES and take proper precautions. Many people just assume that their partner is HIV+ and act accordingly - the mature, responsible ones, that is. Preventing the spread of AIDS is everyone's responsibility - not just those whom you would mark and segregate for life, judging from this question.
  • Well, if people are going to do that, then are they going to tattoo everyone with whatever disease they might have? Should someone with cancer have that tattooed on their forehead? Someone with heart disease? Any other STD? That would be like how the Nazis forced their prisoners to wear those patches to identify each other. Ridiculous!
  • No, I dont believe they should be quarantined, but they should be required to have tattooing or marking indicating the infection. Then the infected could not get away with lieing about thier STD to thier partner, reducing the amount of people infected with STDs. Very good idea.
  • Yes, I think that we ought to brand a scarlet “A” on these fools heads so that we can pick them out of the crowd. You hold them down while I fire up my ol brandin iron.
  • no definatly not they are humans too
  • thats a good idea
  • hell no. Next thing we will be bringing back leper colonies. If you don't want AIDS, stop shooting up and having unprotected sex. Quarantining people with AIDS as a preventative measure is no better than Muslim men who cover women because THEY can't control their dicks.
  • The manifesto of Le Pen's fascist party in France has as one of its aims the establishment of 'hospitals' for AIDS patients, whereby they would be forced into them and not allowed out. Basically concentration camps. It sounds as though a lot of people in this thread would agree.
  • No You cannot catch HIV without exchange of bodily fluids. The main ways of catching it is sharing needles, viginal or anal intercourse and from mother to baby. Catching it from other sexual activities is fairly rare. Catching it through their bodily fluids making contact with a cut you have on your skin is almost unheard of because you normally need a significant ammount of the virus to catch it. With kissing you would need to drink pints of their saliva to catch it. Put it this way, there have been no recorded cases of people catching HIV just from touching. People with HIV would face a lot of discrimation if they had to disclose it.
  • I answered this question 25 years ago and like then I answered YES, ANYONE infected with a deadly biological human to human trasnmited agent that had no end in sight should be quarantined indefinitely until such a time as it or they posed no more threat, period and in the absence of any cure those infected should be allowed to die with some measure of dignity ... We did not create it or release it why should we be held responcible for it and have it interfere with our lives in such a manner as to compromise every aspect of our lives ?? A.I.D.S is just the beginning and with enviromental conditions changing it's going to make it easier to happen and harder to track in this as well as other strains of agents ... ~Nemo~
  • No. But understanding your point, I'm going to be the logical one that removes comparisons to Nazi Germany and sticks to the simple fact that it's not the solution because: -Many are infected and contagious without knowing it. Enforcing mandatory testing is opening up another heap of arguments. -The kind of person that willingly spreads the disease now will also find a way around markings. For example, plenty of people currently cover tattoos successfully with makeup (and dim lighting works in their favor). -There are many other sexually communicated diseases, some incurable, that this does nothing to address. Bottom line: prevention and cessation of the spread of communicative disease is individual responsibility. Know your partner(s) and protect yourself.
  • Can I ask if you have HIV/AIDs? I wonder why you post such questions, at this point it is not niaveness that you ask. If you mark an HIV infected person, then the rest of any infected persons with anything else would eventually be marked. Plus this is originally one of Hilter 's ideas. When any individual decides to engage in any activity; they're taking the risk. Don't punish others for your inability to trust your partner. Once again I will add.. Just like your question about if, HIV/AIDs is to control the population, this is not originally your question. Get a life.
  • only if people who ask questions like this get I.F.( ignorant fool ) tattooed on the forehead as well
  • Very balsy of you to ask. +6
  • It would be more appropriate to do that to the Right Wingers. They're much more contagious and dangerous than any person infected with HIV/AIDS
