Kaballah - Jewish mysticism recorded in the middle ages. Some believe this is a path to reach enlightenment in the way that the prophets have done.
  • Apparently it is supposed to show respect and submission...But is pointless if the scriptures are not being obeyed. Matthew 28; 19,20 J.W' s do not kneel, but pray to Jehovah for the strength to do what he has asked...through Jesus. (Mark 9:7) And a cloud formed, overshadowing them, and a voice came out of the cloud: “This is my Son, the beloved; listen to him.”
  • To "kneel before God" is to show reverence, respect and subservience. At least that's what I think it represents. :)
  • To honor Jesus.

BUT Jesus is NOT God...because God [ Jehovah] spoke out of heaven in respect of Jesus...separating their two identities, (Mark 9:7) And a cloud formed, overshadowing them, and a voice came out of the cloud: ?This is my Son, the beloved. Listen to him.?

  • It is a sign of loyalty and submission.
  • people just use that posture when they pray, i cant do that, i got a bad knee
  • Supposedly...as a mark of respect... But respect without knowledge is pointless... J.W's do not kneel...but attend OUR Kingdom halls to study just what the Bible teaches...No one person is above any other although elders are appointed to direct the meetings. Privileged brothers handle sound and accounts. But they are again not ' above' all the other members. They render service as servants.
  • For the same reason a person would lay flat on their stomach on the floor and cry out to God. It is submitting to the will of God and humbling one's self physically as well as spiritually.
  • In my point of view kneeling is penitential and signifies worship. But if your objection is due to a health condition, staying seating is fine. Maybe just bow your head.
