  • Absolutely. I don't like pouting and being glum, spreading a bad mood, or letting too much emotion show at work. I'd rather save my emotional responses for the confidence of friends and the appropriate moments. Granted, I tend to read like an open book and wear my heart on my sleeve. Even still, I always put my best foot forward and try to have a healthy dose of perspective. It's admirable, in my opinion, to do so.

  • Sometimes to a fault. The fault being that I am sometimes self-medicating a painful or difficult moment with a smile. A smile at these times can be very confusing to others. At other times it defuses what could become a more contentious encounter.
  • Psalm 16:11 reads “In your presence is abundant joy; There is happiness at your right hand forever.” If you give the impression that you are joyful, others may feel impelled to do the same.
  • I do if I am in a lousy mood so I don't act like a cranky child who, when they are unhappy, want EVERYBODY to be unhappy. It is definitely a matter of maturity.
