I think it's intelligent. Get it? Intelligent cremation.
-
It's what I want. I think it is sanitary.
-
It doesn't leave much behind. I would rather be cremated than buried.
-
It's a little creepy, but rotting and worms is creepier. So it's what I'm going to do.
-
It just seems so final. Yeah, I know, the body will decompose underground. But why rush things.
-
It's better than a traditional burial but still not great for the environment. I prefer the idea of a natural/green burial.
-
It is cheaper and alot more practical. It helps that my religious tradition does not have a problem with it anymore - that caused alot of problems for some Christians in the past.
-
It may be cheap and practical but it does cause air pollution.
-
What else are we going to do with six billion dead bodies?
-
My practical side is all for it, but I'm still not comfortable with the thought of being burned up... even though I won't be there to experience it.
-
scared of it - I'd rather be buried!
-
It's been the choice of many of my family members and it is also my choice.
-
Freaky. Definitely not what I want when I go.
-
I have told my family that I want to be cremated then my ashes scattered. I don't want to be left to be eaten by worms and who knows what else. Being cremated kind of finalizes everything.
-
creative alternative to an expensive funeral
-
looks like that is how I will have to be done.
-
Practical, hygienic, great all round.
-
Thats what I am going to have done..dust in the wind..lol :)
-
It is cheaper!
-
I want to know if they really burned my father's suicide remains... or if murder was concealed, or if a false set of wax teeth was called a body by the coroner who let him live.

Waste of resources. http://abclocal.go.com/wpvi/story?section=news/local&id=6495238&rss=rss-wpvi-article-6495238 http://www.courierpress.com/news/2008/nov/18/ohio-green-cemetery-graveyard-future/?partner=RSS

It's okay, if I'm dead.
-
I think its fine, as long as your dead. Getting cremated B4 death would really burn me up.
-
I think it's a SMOKIN' idea!! hehe...get it?
-
GOOD IDEA !! I plan on being cremated , myself ... MOST people do NOT visit graves ; so why take up the space ? Besides; my faith believes that when we die, our soul leaves the body ... and all that is let is a shell that turns into dust ... so what is the use to pay all that $$$ to store/ bury a shell that just ends up as dust etc .. +5
-
I'd rather die first!
-
Urns are fun to excavate, in an archaeological context of course.
-
ashes to ashes dust to dust
-
Wonderful way to save space, money and go back to the earth once again.
-
This makes no sense whatsoever, but I don't like the thought of being buried. Plus, the expense involved...the "viewing of the body"...I dunno. It just seems so...CREEPY. Just burn the body, throw the ashes and be done with it. Quicker. Cleaner. Greener.
-
I'm for it at the moment.
-
Well done. Make sure I'm dead first though.
-
As long as my body is in the ground at death, I don't mind...and as long as I'm going to heaven, it doesn't really matter to me any, if you cremate me or not.
-
Like 'cokefication'? Cherry? ;-)
-
Effective, but energy intensive way of getting rid of the remains. +2
-
I think it is incredibily hot!

It's practical. AND good for the environment.
-
I prefer it over burial any day.
-
It is a burning question, I ash myself how to urn this end.
-
This is more hygienic and probably the right thing to do for the remaining population to live good. burn the body as it is not good anymore without the soul.
-
Sure beats being left in the dirt to slowly rot.
-
more appealing then rotting in a box
-
I'm thinking seriously about changing my final requests from burial to cremation. I have a plot already paid for, so the urn would go in the ground with a headstone. I know I would be dead, but the idea of all those worms and bugs is starting to creep me out.
-
No problemo. It's just your body. It doesn't feel anything. Buried in a coffin maggots will be eating you anyway.
