The same reason you won't, even when it comes back into fashion.
-
i was thinkin the same. you might be old but be old and look good to. i hate high pants. i dont know
-
Some just feel more comfortable -

The old Harry Hi-Pants lookm eh? I think it is because most of them lose their waist, and can't find the right place to pull their pants up to. So they keep pulling till the pants stop at the armpits. LOL
-
So the rest of us don't have to see their butts. Can you imagine some old Granny wearing low slungs and a thong? Or Grandpa wearing the droops? All that old, wrinkled butt hanging out. That would be grosser than seeing young butt on parade.
-
That's what they're accustomed to being in fashion from when they were younger. I see a lot of old people with trousers up to just below the waist line, which does not seem very high to me... it would be weird to see your granny in hipsters!
-
Because their nipples get cold easily.
-
Because we get thick around the middle, so the pants have to either scrunch down under the pot belly or sit up over it.

To help keep diapers in place.

It's because they stem from a time where Modesty ruled fashion. A time when your pants actually were designed to go up to your waist, not stop at your hips... thus the measurement for your "waist" not your hips. The pants were designed for your hips to hold your pants up. As fashions change, some people don't. I can't wait to see the ganster wanna-be's when they are old, still wearing baggy pants with their Depends sticking out, holding the pants with one hand and their cane in the other...
-
Because they are shrinking ... The people that is ... lol
-
to save us all from having nightmares, imagine your Granny in hipsters and a tube top (even the mental image is enough to make you puke)
-
They don't know where their waist ends and their butts begin anymore!
-
I don't know - why do young people spell so badly?
-
4-18-2017 Because their bones shrink and they don't care to spend money on a whole new wardrobe just because their legs have gotten shorter.
