  • No, at this rate i dont think taking some advice is a half bad idea.
  • No...who are we to say were good at running it...Look at the economy, at the people...at the system...the politics...are we really good at what we do...Maybe we should put our pride aside, and take alittle advice. Besides...everyone here is almost a foriegner...who is truely Native americans? - oh wait........
  • Foreigners: Do you get mad that people who ask specious questions like this often tell you how to run *your* country?
  • don't you just love when they do that hey remember when peter jennings wouldn't allow toby keith to perform the angry american-isn't he canadian
  • yes it does, just like if we tell them how to run their country
  • The natives american indians country you mean? the rest of the lot are immigrants the whole country was build with immigrants.
  • Considering that Americans Bush, Cheney, and Rove did such an admirable, outstanding, wonderful <heavy sarcasm> job of running the country, no. I'm open-minded enough to listen to anyone's ideas.
  • For example?
  • Why should it? We do it to them, and they ignore us, just like we do when they do it to us. It's like dealing with your mother, it's your life, and as long as you're not dependent on them to live, tell them to FU*K OFF!
  • Not at all +
  • AMERICANS: hi from an foreigner - wouldn't dream of telling what to do....you might blow me up or worse embargo me or even worse invade all my telly land with your crap shows....no anyhting but that please!
  • Yes especailly when they come from a crap country, lol. :)
  • Not really. We do it to them all the time.
  • Not if they already bought the right to do so.
  • Not necessarily. Just because someone gives you advice, it doesn't mean you have to take it, but a wise, intelligent person will at least consider it. America tells others how to run their countries/provinces/territories all the time. *cough "Iraq" cough cough*.
  • Sometimes I do, but for the most part I just laugh at them, but sometimes they do have some good ideas, but most of it is because foreigners are jealous of us Americans. That makes me proud to be an American. :-)
  • Probably about as mad as they get when we tell them how they should run theirs.
  • well, there is a similar question that will answer your question... does it make you mad when other people tell you how to live your life? I for one will take suggestions, but if someone straight up tells me how to live my life, I get aggitated.
  • Well for the sake of nationalism, anger might be affiliated, when excessively praising the ideaology, diregarding our birth of a nation.
  • Why? We tell them how to run their countries. No sense in being hypocrites.
  • The only reason an American would get mad at outside advice is because he's insecure. That was why some Americans stopped buying French wine and changed the name of french fries to American fries when the French told us it wasn't a good idea to invade Iraq. The first time, since the revolutionary war, we get good advice from France and it was ignored because the idiots running the country were insecure and ignorant of foreign affairs.
  • No. Sometimes one can get a good perspective from standing outside the fray. But nothing says we HAVE to listen.
  • No - because we Americans are always telling foreigners how to run their countries.
  • Depending on the country, i might roll my eyes, but considering that we do the same AND that there are some countries who could offer us great advice, no, I don't get mad.
  • That's rich coming from a country that at present has troops in active service in the Middle East!
  • Knowing me, it would depend on whether or not I agreed with them. XDD
  • In a way yes but we have to remember that America does but in other countries business also.
  • not so much mad as disgusted with this ilk...run their own country....as the marine,Lutrell says of him and fellow soldiers, "WE got this America"...our boys don't fight and keep us free for the likes that come in hear turning our flags upside down and flying theirs and the UN is a joke .......the people need to take back their country and rights...:)JUSTME
  • Asker, you just got pwned@!
  • hi i'm a foreigner and i dont understand why everyone thinks they have the right to tell you what to do who you should have as president.
  • Not at all. Our country is very new. One could say that out of all the countries ours is the only one in a 'teenage stage'. We should pay attention to what our elders have to say, even if we don't agree. Everything we go through, odds are they've gone through it already and have a broader view.
  • No. We're always telling them how to run their countries.
  • Only when said country doing the telling is extremely brutal towards its own people and will kill and/or torture any descenders. Let me think who is currently doing that... Uhhhm... CHINA?
  • YES! YES! Very much so. But it helps me to understand how other nations feel when we try to tell them how to run theirs. Man that's a terrible feeling--isn't it?
  • it definetely pisses people off. i think u should listen to them first. if their idea sucks then forget it. they had their chance
  • Yes especially the ones from western Europe.
  • no..because foreigners don't tell us how to run it, because we don't run it...the RULER is running it and ITS politicians....it makes me mad that they are telling US, the people...how they are gonna run OUR country... foreigners can tell all they want...that does not bother me....we don't have to do it....:)
  • Being a foreigner I would say that America does not need advice at all. They have enough intelligent people for their own. If Americans are deciding to do anything it is only their decision and they are not responsible to anybody to explain or justify their decisions. So, I would say that foreign countries have to keep off strictly of anything that is in connection to the Americans. The Americans can solve their own problems and should do as they like. So, I am rather glad that our government just takes notice of American decisions without any comment. So, I am very happy that in my country it is almost a tradition that we only take notice of foreign decisions but never would give a comment. Smaller countries have to keep off from bigger countries and so I can understand very well that Americans get angry. It is up to the Americans how they run their country.
  • No. Monkey see, monkey do!
  • lol... sucks when the shoes on the other foot don't it!
  • No. It's an opinion - everybody has one.
  • No this country could obviously use a little help.
  • No, we can use some constructive criticism in my country.
  • We need all the help we can get now. Besides, when the country is pretty much owned by foreign countries right now,and our president has went an apologized to every country we ever had a dispute or war with..they probably feel entitled to have some input into what goes on in the U.S now.
  • Not at all. They can tell us till they are blue in the face and we still won't give a crap what they think.
  • I think the states is well run, not bad, could use a little help in education because 60% of its population can't locate USA on a map, and they are very self centered and dont know anything about the outside world. Plus there is no such thing as an "American" unless you come from Native American decendants, if your white your probably from Europe, If your black your from Africa and so. It is a mix of ethnicities so basically yes the rulers of America are from other countries, and other countries do influence and it shouldn't make anyone mad to hear an opinion.

  • Awww. Big bad ninja dude can't handle a little constructive criticism? Or are you just another American xenophobe?

  • Why should it? Obama is a foreigner, and he RUNS the country. http://www.examiner.com/x-14129-Grand-Rapids-Ron-Paul-Examiner~y2009m7d23-NBC-lies-about-Obamas-birth-certificate-and-elligibility-to-be-President
  • I find it extremely ironic how people are under the illusion that the power of government actually rests in their hands. The government has long been hijacked by coporate interests and it starts at the very core - the funding of a candidate, contributions, fund raisers, execution of favors, until one candidate is elected. Do you honestly think the president is a righteous figure where everything begins and ends with his word!? Of ourse you do! That's what the media conglomerate empire wants you to believe! They want you to believe that the person you voted into power actually weilds power. A more accurate image would be a puppet (president) and many puppet masters (corporations, lobby groups, branches of government) controlling seperate limbs.
  • Foreigners or citizens who are not American are basically inferior and completely inept and so their opinion on anything is basically not interesting. Foreigners have nothing to say at all. So it is the very best if all foreigners in the world keep their opinions to themselves and give no comments at all about American politics. Americans and America do never need the help or assistance of foreign people.
  • yes, but people shouldnt listen to them
  • Nope. I just find it fascinating when people come to this country to escape whatever shithole country they just left and then carry on about how we should change our country to whatever shithole they just left. For instance, Mexicans marching around the US with Mexican flags? Why are they not marching around Mexico with Mexican flags? Why come here if Mexico is so awesome?
