  • yes. Most anyone would live in million houses if they could afford it.
  • Maybe they really do not have the capability to buy/make a new(expensive) house. peace. lol
  • Family are there, or they can't afford to move. Maybe that is where they have always lived. I once knew an old lady (80s) who had never lived anywhere else but one small house and had never traveled further than her own town. She could not conceive of moving. She lived there until they came and got her and moved her out.
  • That and it's all they've ever known. If they wanted to many of the people living in high crime neighborhoods could work their way up, living in smaller apartments or rooming with roommates. It simply doesn't occur to someone who has grown up in high crime area and who's whole family lives nearby that they could read the newspaper to find a place to live. Not to say it's an easy thing to do, but it's possible.
  • Yes . One reason is custom. Some people never bother to move even though rent might be the same or near the same. It's comforting for some to stay close to home forever. Another reason is that they might be the criminals themselves or know them well enough to not worry,
  • some people need to be near people not in the woods or far away. some people want to be near the stores buses, trains, highways and long time friends. my buddy became very successful and wanted his elderly grand ma to move in but she will not leave the Bronx which is in new york city shes been there her whole life and wont move and live in the middle of nowhere and he has a million dollar house and iam kinda the same way i get bored in the woods or the middle of nowhere but that just us everybody is different
  • Sometimes people WANT to get out of a certain neighborhood ; BUT they just do not have the $$$$$$ .
