I tend not to trust any politician before (or after) I vote. I just have to weigh up how likely I think s/he is to implement the promises made, or how likely they are to be put through based on his/her/the party's previous form.

I don't trust politicians. I decide (1) who has a reasonable possibility to be elected (so I don't waste my vote) and; (2) of those people, who is likely to cause the least amount of damage once in office.

I decide NOT to trust any politician. Then I see what they do and how they act and if they actually do anything they say they will. For instance, Obama touted himself as a centrist - a middle of the road Democrat (at least during the campaign). The moment he got into office, he took actions of an extreme leftist and hasn't stopped yet. He said one thing, yet did another. In my mind he is not trustworthy.

You never trust them, you just pick the less of the two evils.

I just vote for the best liar.

TRUST NO ONE; EPESCIALY POLITITIONS!! All they do is LIE TO WIN!!
-
First, give them the truth test. If their lips are moving, then they are lying.

Never trust a politician. Just try to find the one who's own interest are similar to yours & hope that they don't change thier mind (or that someone doesn't write them a larger check).
