  • No, they have to notify you so if you feel the amount they are paying is too low you can quit. You have legal grounds to sue for the difference between what you were paid before and the reduced pay for the hours you worked after they reduced your pay and before you were notified or learned of the reduced pay. That is probably not enough to make that effort so it might be as effective or more just to make a complaint with your state labor board.
