  • Check to make sure your power supply is up to the task of powering the new card. This card requires a minimum 300 Watt Power supply. That's with nothing else in any other slots. If you've even got one more card in your machine you should have a larger power supply. I'd go with a 500 Watt PS with a minimum of 30 combined amps on the +12 volt rail(s). The other possibility is that you have your games set to a resolution not used by this video card. Check out the resolutions available in the control panel. Last, but certainly not least... if it's a new card, it could be duff. A bad card is ten times more likely to fry on 1st power up than at any other time. Hope this helps.
