Yes, a couple of times. As I was growing up my Mom boarded older people as a way to help pay the bills. I can remember coming home from school two times and finding the funeral director there picking up one of my elderly friends. They were like grandparents to me, so it was hard to handle. Mom took it as an opportunity to teach me about death.
-
Yes.

Not that I am aware of. I do have reason to think someone besides me might be here though. I live alone but one time when my mom was here we were gonna go somewhere and she went to use the bathroom. I went out to the car and she didn't hear me leave. She was waiting in the living room for me and apparently she called down the hallway to me. I came back inside wondering what was taking so long and heard her shouting down the hallway. She swears she heard me yelling at her from my room but I was in the car.

Yes. My Grandma slipped into a coma and passed away in our home. (She had a massive stroke 16 years earlier) My mother had a massive stroke in our house but she passed away at the hospital
-
Not in my home as an adult. But when I was growing up, my maternal grandmother died. A bit after that, my grandfather got rid (literally) of most of their things, sold the house, and moved in with us. Turned out he had cancer. Eventually,, we had a hospital bed downstairs for him so he could be in the midst of things in the house. I remember sitting next to him .. sometimes talking .. sometimes not. Thinking back, he was kind to me even then when you know he was in pain. I wanted to help, but of course, there's not much a kid can do! So he gave me a job to hep him. I sat there pulling kleenxes out of the box and "folding them" .. just so .. making a little stack of them .. then setting them on his side table. Sound silly perhaps, but I'll always see that as his gift to me. During those times we would talk of all sorts of things. I was 12. Yes, he died in the house.
