No, i do not hate it. i am thankful that i have friends and family that are concerned. You should be also thankful that you have someone that cares for you, to ask.

It depends how its asked and on how you are normally. Some people - naturally look miserable. So constantly asking them why they look upset is not a very good idea. If someone you know is normally happy and looks sad, then it is probably a good idea to ask them. What does make me more miserable is to be told to stop looking miserable. Thats not someone being sympathetic - it is someone moaning - which is going to have the opposite effect to what they want...
