  • well maybe not my (non existant) kids, but other than that d3finitely -it just surprises me how many ignorant people are out there. I was doing some fundrasing for AFA (aid for aids) and i got turned down by so many people "Those people got what they deserved, this is God's divine punishment for being wicked." -that's what my mother said! so full of cr@p! why don't i just go to Africa and tell all the aids victims "God hates you cuz your black?" that's basically the same thing!
  • We HAVE to. I'll be damned if my daughter learned about it from someone else, that was my job
  • Yes. no question. Yes.
  • I think that even though it may be an uncomfortable topic to talk about, HIV/AIDS is extremely important, and needs to be talked about. I don't have kids, but when/if I do, I will discuss AIDS and other STD's with them. I try my best to spread awareness to other people I know, and sometimes people I don't. I think that we have so much knowledge about AIDS and other STDs, and I think that knowledge should be shared with everyone, regardless of how uncomfortable it may be. World AIDS day is an excellent excuse to bring up the topic of AIDS, and share information with someone who otherwise may not have known.
  • Yes. I had a close friend die of it over a decade ago. My family and friends were hopefully made aware of the perils by watching me go through the pain of that loss, and also, lately, my father, who complains of having to take 10 pills in his 70's...I remind him of my best friend Bob, who was taking over 30 pills a day, in his 20's. I am also going to enter a piece in our local AIDS awareness art show, if I get off my butt and get inspired and get it done.
  • I'm comfortable with that and I make people aware whenever I get an oppertunity.
  • I am happy to tell you I am associated with APAC. Association for Prevention and Control of Aids. So no inhibition whatsoever with whomsoever.
