  • Sure. You can do what you want, when you want and how you want. There are benifits both ways but some people really need alone time to clear the head.
  • Agree with goldpanner...No need to compromise or match tastes or timetables or preferences re food, am/pm , punctual/late person, etc. If you want to meet more people on the road, go alone; you're much more approachable.
  • Generally not, unless you are set on solo travel venues. You may pay single supplement surcharges or be excluded for couples/shared resorts, etc, also.
  • I vacation alone all the time. It has a lot of benefits UNLESS you are taking a cruise and then they charge you extra fee cause you are a single traveler. Other than that, I can sleep when I want, go when I want, make my own decisions about what and when to eat, GO where I want on vacation..
  • four little words you'll NEVER have to hear: "Are we there yet?"
  • Definitely. You can do what you want, with who you want, where you want, for as long as YOU want. If you're on a tour, there are always people to chat with and who ask you to join them for dinner. I'm alone by choice and love it 99 percent of the time!!!
  • I can stay up as late as I want and not worry about getting up at the crack of dawn unless I want to, some days I sleep late. I can go where I want, to see what I want, or decide to blow the day reading at the beach. If I'm not having a good time at one point of interest, I can move on and do something else.
