School taught me how to play various games (e.g. rugby, cricket, hockey, fives, Rossall hockey). My father tried to educate me about cricket, but I'd rather watch paint dry, to be honest. He did teach me how to play snooker, which I used to enjoy a lot. I learned about the rest by watching TV and reading books (e.g. American football, baseball, pelota, kabaddi, sumo wrestling), but these were all strictly as a spectator.
